Ravi Gupta has over two decades of industry experience and currently works at Atlassian as part of the Cloud Transition Platform team. His primary focus is on facilitating data migration for customers, transitioning Atlassian Data Center instances to the cloud. Additionally, he is involved in optimizing data movement within the cloud environment. Before joining Atlassian, Ravi held positions at Salesforce and Oracle. At Salesforce, he contributed to the development of a scalable, self-healing service for managing event fan-out, which effectively handled millions of concurrent clients and events per second. He also helped create a multi-tiered caching system aimed at enhancing performance across the Salesforce platform. During his time at Oracle, Ravi was involved in re-architecting a observability product. This included designing a microservices-based architecture and evaluating various data storage options. His interest lies in streaming and distributed systems.
